There are a number of good resources for conducting a job search - we recommend the Job Search Council as a place to start. Alex also offers a few monthly (pro-bono), 30-minute job search sessions if you’d like to receive personalized guidance, resources, support or advice.
You are looking for specific advice, content focused-expertise, or technical solutions. There are good reasons to hire a content area experts or consultants to address specific needs. It can also be helpful to distinguish between coaching, consulting and mentoring. These articles from the ICF and Forbes provide good basic information on this topic.

Jesse discovered both music and computers at an early age, which led him down a long and fulfilling road of exploring technology, creativity, and how humans and technical systems interact.
His career in technology spans full stack web development, user centered design, information visualization, information security, infrastructure, technical leadership, and people management at companies from 3 to 300,000 people, including IBM Research, the Obama 2012 Tech Team, NASA/JPL, Netflix, Watershed, and Monorail Technology, a consulting shop he founded in 2025.
Human thriving has always been the goal of his work, along with the recognition that direct person-to-person support can have more positive impact in the world than even a very well designed technical system.
His coaching and advising work includes 8 years of advising graduate student thesis projects at ArtCenter’s Media Design Practices MFA program, formal and informal mentoring in his role as a senior and staff engineer and then engineering manager, and a number of private coaching clients.
Jesse holds a BA in Music from Carleton College, a Masters of Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon, and is a Professional Certified Coach through New Ventures West.

A Different Kind of Coaching Group
Future Crafting is not a course filled with formulas, gimmicky productivity hacks, asynchronous learning models you complete in isolation, or large turn-key general advice.
Instead, it’s an intentionally structured, cohort-based, small coaching group (minimum 8 and maximum 14 participants). The group is carefully selected to ensure a diversity of participants and perspectives, yet all group members share the common goal of forward movement on something that is brewing in their work or creative life. Group members commit to a core set of simple principles and value a well defined, yet flexible group structure.
Facilitated by skilled coaches with a range of experience and expertise, Jesse Kriss and Alex Holt, create an integrative, experiential, reflective, and action-oriented group coaching experience. The group sessions have a clear format, yet also include space for improvisation based on the needs of the group. Peer-learning - both inspiring and being inspired by others - is an essential element of the group. You’ll engage with a variety of proven practices and perspectives drawn from a range of resources:
Mindfulness & Presence – Cultivating practices that build resilience, clarity, and trust.
Creating Meaningful Work – Alternative perspectives on work, purpose, and fulfillment.
Energy & Time - Finding a work-rest rhythm that works; managing your energy, not your time.
Integral Coaching – A comprehensive approach to personal development and coaching.
Focusing – an experiential, embodied and evidence-based practice of self-reflection.
Art, Music, Creativity, Performance - A range of resources to apply the science and principles of creativity to various domains of work and life.
